Credit cooperatives on microfinance services market: regional dimension

The role of cooperative credit institutes increases in conditions of financial market infrastructure' underdevelopment.Credit cooperatives are able to accumulate small savings and to mobilize them for people's social-economic needs, for small and middle business development. In the article the analysis of tendencies of development of the micro-financial market, organizational, legal and economic bases of credit cooperatives is carried out; the features of their functioning in the market of micro-financial services are revealed. The assessment of activity of credit cooperation in the Arkhangelsk region is given, unresolved problems, opportunities and development prospects are designated.
