In the article institutional and economic features of carrying out of transactions of merges and absorption in Russia are considered. It is defined legal both economic essence of process and their specific distinctions in the Russian conditions. Taking into account the Russian specificity merits and demerits of different variants of merges and absorption from economic positions are revealed.
