Specific problems of development of aviatransport systems in regions of the Russian Far North are considered. It is shown that besides additional problems, in these regions there are also the favorable possibilities connected with presence of local fuel resources. By means of a complex of economic-mathematical models the tentative estimation of social and economic efficiency of their use is spent.
