The article provides general facts about the level of pensions of citizens of the Russian Federation in relation to the subsistence minimum, show the dynamics of growth deficit of the Pension Fund of Russian Federation and called the causes. Taking into account the medium variant projection of the Russian Federation Federal State Statistics Service of the age structure and population size and growth of demographic load shown unfounded introduction of fully funded pension system in the Russian Federation.
