Different approaches to interpretation of investment climate and investment attractiveness are considered, their interrelations and interdependencies. Positive and negative factors, influencing the investment climate are exemplified. General characteristics of investment climate assessment methods and results of such assessments worldwide (including Russia) as of 2008-2009 prognosis are also considered.
