Employment of minimum wage workers in Russia

The paper, based on the Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey (RLMS) data for 2003-2007, examines the sector of the actual and potential minimum wage (MW) workers. To determine the segment of potential earners of MW the factors that increase the probability of being in a group of such workers are determined and reveales characteristics of their employment, compared with a core group of employees on Russia's labor market. In addition, the study estimates significant factors of MW earning on the demand side of labor.
