The last recession started in December 2007 and came to an end by June 2009. Those 18 months of crisis made this recession the most enduring since 1933. The year 2009 became truly astonishing one. It was dubbed at the same time the year of the Great Recession, because there was the biggest slump of the global economy since the World War II, and the year of the Great Stabilization.
