Transformation Function of the National Banking System in an Emerging Market

In the article the transformation function of the Russian banking system are examined, including its accumulation and transfer aspects.
     The author considers that there is a good reason to confirm, that the functional fragmentation takes place in the Russian banking system, as well as the gap between the federal and regional banking systems. To authors` opinion the state federal banks are capable of overcoming these fragmentations by forming the canals of interaction between the federal and regional banks.
