Subject. Investment development of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District. Objectives. Comprehensive assessment of the impact of mining investment projects on the socio-economic development of regions, including analysis of direct and indirect effects, as well as identification of factors determining the effectiveness of their implementation. Methods. The authors used economic and statistical analysis, multidimensional comparative analysis, integral assessment method, complex comparative assessment, and an algorithm for evaluating regional investment projects. Results. The article analyzes the average annual growth rate of investments in the mining industry in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, and shows the degree of depreciation of fixed assets in this industry. Based on the results of a comprehensive integrated assessment, a rating of investment projects has been compiled. The initial premise of the study was the assumption that large projects, due to the expected effects of their implementation, can have a significant impact on the development of regions. Conclusions. The presented rating reflects the cumulative regional effectiveness of investment projects, taking into account a variety of effects. The results of the study can be used by government authorities at the federal and regional levels in the development and adjustment of socio-economic development strategies, sectoral programs and territorial planning documents.; investors and project companies in the mining sector to assess the potential socio-economic effects of project implementation, substantiate investment decisions and build strategies for interaction with regional communities.
