Subject. Comparative analysis in the field of economic security. Objectives. The study examines the possibility of using dynamic qualitative comparative analysis tools to evaluate, predict, and select scenarios for achieving an economically secure future. Methods. General scientific research methods were used. Results. The analysis of the main known approaches of qualitative comparative analysis, sensitive to the temporal sequence of the analyzed events, is carried out. Its use for time analysis and identification of a set of mutually supportive conditions and factors determining the dynamics of economic security is investigated. The requirements for a set of indicators reflecting traditional and new functions of economic security have been formed. Conclusions. The use of dynamic tools for configuration and qualitative comparative analysis makes it possible to determine the necessary set of conditions and factors for achieving economic security in the context of continuous technological and social changes.
