Subject. The innovative environment of the construction industry enterprises.
Objectives. Generalization of existing and development of author's metrics for assessing the innovative environment of an enterprise using the example of the construction industry.
Methods. Theory of innovation, systems approach, comparative analysis.
Results. It is determined that the development of an innovative environment is one of the key tasks of a modern enterprise. To ensure that the dynamics of an enterprise's innovation activity does not decrease, it is necessary to create a stable structure of the innovation environment, as well as develop assessment approaches, including a set of metrics. The key disadvantage is the lack of consideration of the specifics of the innovation environment. The classification of approaches to the research of the innovative environment of the enterprise is presented. The author's approach to the formation of metrics for assessing the innovative environment of a construction company is proposed. The sources of obtaining metrics are disclosed.
Conclusions. The assessment of the innovative environment of a construction company should be based on a system of metrics, the totality of which will allow not only to assess its condition as accurately as possible, identify negative aspects and threats to its functioning, but also to form a pool of development measures. Given the importance of the construction industry for the state, a set of metrics for assessing the innovation environment can be included in sectoral development programmes.
