Subject. The article addresses trends in the development of the leasing market. Objectives. The study aims at the research, analysis, and description of the modern leasing market in Russia and abroad, its impact on economic growth, identification of the impact of modern approaches and processes of updating fixed assets on business development. Methods. The study draws on historical approach, method of scientific abstraction, and economic analysis. Results. The paper discloses the essence of the concept of leasing as an economic phenomenon having a special economic nature, presents the key aspects of leasing development in the modern conditions of the sanctioned economy, identifies determinants of development of the leasing market in Russia, which are drivers of economic growth in changing conditions. Furthermore, it includes an analysis of the leasing services market in the Russian Federation and the USA. Conclusions. Leasing in Russia continues to develop and adapt to the changing sanctions conditions of the market, which contributes to its further dissemination and the use by companies. The leasing market in Russia is showing steady growth, which is associated with an increase in demand for leasing services from enterprises and organizations.
