Subject. The article considers the stimulation of digital transformation at industrial enterprises. Objectives. The purpose of the study is to devise an organizational and economic mechanism to encourage digital transformation of industrial enterprises and give practical recommendations for its implementation, taking into account the specifics of industries. Methods. The study rests on the systems approach, including theoretical analysis, empirical investigations by international and domestic scholars. It also employs the content and comparative analyses. Results. The systematization of existing approaches to stimulating digitalization in industry enabled to identify key differences in strategies and focuses in different countries and industries. The paper identifies the main factors influencing the success of digital transformation, presents a comprehensive organizational and economic mechanism that includes management entities and facilities, incentive tools and methods, as well as criteria for evaluating the results of digitalization of business processes. It gives recommendations for the mechanism implementation, considering the specifics of industries. Conclusions. The offered mechanism is a holistic tool that integrates modern theoretical approaches and practical aspects of stimulating the digital transformation of industrial enterprises. The findings can be used to develop digitalization strategies at the enterprise and industry levels.
