Importance Quality is a most important category of management. There are a lot of approaches and standards for quality assessment, however, researchers note that this problem is weakly structured and difficult to formalize.
Objectives The aims of the research are to construct a formalized process model to assess the quality of economic and social systems and to develop imitation algorithms to analyze the efficiency of various strategies for quality management.
Methods The proposed model rests on the process approach to the analysis of various aspects of economic and social system functioning.
Results We build models of quality of particular processes and the entire system based on the qualimetry, fuzzy methods of information processing and the theory of difficulty to achieve goals. The models of delay and transformation during the process of quality transfer from one process to another are formed with the help of special expert technologies. We consider various strategies of quality change for particular processes, investigate how changes are spread over the system based on the graph theory techniques and the cognitive analysis, and choose the optimal strategy that meets a particular principle of efficiency.
Conclusions The proposed imitation model and respective software provide a wide range of tools for a detailed analysis of different variants of configuring the parameters of quality management and enable to simulate the process of circulating different quality management strategies in the system. The findings may serve as an effective means to support decision-making in managing the quality of economic and social systems.
