Importance Positive economic behavior in the agricultural sector should be considered as a strategic problem, a solution to which will enable not only to achieve the necessary level of self-sufficiency in food products, but also to give impetus to the development of the entire economic system.
Objectives The study aims to develop and substantiate a conceptual model to manage the economic growth of agriculture, to determine the parametric content of the management system of economic growth of agricultural production, considering the modern trends.
Methods The paper rests on the analysis of factors, determinants and conditions of economic growth of the agricultural sector. I processed the statistical data for the recent 10 years, using the economic-mathematical modeling.
Results The parameters are presented by six cross-groups of indicators that have the greatest impact on the economic behavior of agricultural production, determine the priorities of the agrarian policy, and require the economic growth of a new quality.
Conclusions and Relevance At the present stage, the agricultural development of Russia in the context of economic growth management is rather contradictory. There is no systems approach, and, consequently, no adequate economic dynamics is provided in accordance with the existing agricultural potential of the country. The proposed changes in the content of the management system of agriculture's economic growth will allow to fix positive dynamics of the agricultural output and create conditions for long-term sustainable growth of the industry.
