Subject The article addresses social and economic relations characterizing the processes and regularities of investment image formation of the region.
Objectives The aim is to provide theoretical justification and systematization of scientific and methodological approaches determining the nature of formation of investment appeal of the region.
Methods The methodological basis of the study is the systems approach and the method of dialectic knowledge. They enabled to systematize and underpin approaches to creating the investment appeal of the region, to disclose the nature and new content of this category.
Results The study offers theoretical approaches that determine the regularities of region's investment image formation, defines the system of factor impact on the region's investment image as a basic condition of increasing the volume foreign investment. This is reflected in the methodology for analyzing, forecasting and planning the regional investment policy development.
Conclusions and Relevance Using the systems approach as a methodological basis to analyze the specifics of region's investment image formation, enables to explore the entire set of conditions determining the areas of investment appeal formation and strategic development of the region. It also contributes to enhancing the efficiency of interaction of meso- and macrolevels in the State and regional management.
