Business process performance evaluation within the multilevel strategic planning of diversified companies' operations

Importance Rapid development of the non-fuel segment of oil companies increased the significance of assessing the business processes for goods and services sale at gas stations.
     Objectives Major objectives of the study are to prepare a set of control parameters of non-fuel product group sales to compare them from the perspective of regions; to study the specifics of accompanying goods sale by shops of various formats.
     Methods We employ benchmarking, correlation and regression analysis to create a theoretical and practical framework for planning and increasing the efficiency of business processes at gas stations.
     Results We have developed a methodological basis to assess the non-fuel business of major oil companies, proposals for using analytical results to improve the operations of shops at gas stations and create a positive impact on the overall business performance. The study reveals the dependence of effective revenue volume on consumer goods sales depending on average daily sales by shops of different formats, i.e. city, highway, settlement, window.
     Conclusions and Relevance The benchmarking of oil enterprises shows the importance of calculating the purchasing power index to make strategic decisions on further development of non-fuel business of horizontally-integrated companies like PAO LUKOIL.
