Importance Modeling the enterprise condition is one of the most powerful management tools under uncertainty and vibrant market environment. Correct modeling enables to establish quantitative correlations and dependencies between significant factors, to calculate the impact of management decisions and significant changes in enterprise performance. Proper models help promptly identify and evaluate the economic payoff and financial implications of management decisions.
Objectives Our objective is to develop and apply a management mechanism to ensure smooth functioning of production and increase the volume of sales of finished product based on an increase in the efficient use of material, labor and financial resources.
Methods We analyze the statistics of capacity, which reflects the industrial potential reproduction, the level of average annual production capacity of organizations to produce certain types of products.
Results We developed a method to manage reserves that constitute the production capacity of industrial enterprises within the performance improvement strategy. The reserve management mechanism rests on and functions under the performance improvement strategy of an industrial enterprise, and this fact determines their close relationship. As virtually all management decisions made during the production operation of industrial enterprises affect reserves, their utilization and management, there is a need to develop not only an analysis of reserves, efficient methods and mechanisms of their management, but also their integrated assessment from the perspective of their impact on the industrial enterprise's performance.
Conclusions The key tasks of reserve management include improving the efficiency and growth of available potential of enterprises.
