Importance Due to expanding the range of goods, which cause pathological addiction, the growing level of their consumption that leads to escalating economic and social threats, the deficit of empirical information, and social taboo on the subject areas of the analysis, the problem of developing the tools to characterize the markets of addictive goods and services becomes more significant.
Objectives The aim of the study is to improve the registration system of information on the condition of addictive goods markets.
Methods In the study, I used the subject-object method to determine the structure of addictive goods markets, the matrix theory and the combinatory analysis to demonstrate dependencies between market actors, objects and indicators. Based on the goals of market actors and industry characteristics, I systematized and classified the indicators of addictive goods market development, and identified directions of improving the statistical registration of information on the markets' development.
Results To describe the actors and objects of the markets of additive goods and their development, I have worked out a system of indicators, and offered proposals for improving the registration of information on the state of addictive goods markets.
Conclusions Scarce empirical information and social taboo on the subject areas of the analysis of addictive goods markets impede their socially oriented management. The study provides theoretical and practical ideas to perfect the registration and analysis of information about the markets' functioning.
