Subject The article considers green economy priorities in Turkmenistan, technical and economic, power, and ecological potentials of solar energy units and other renewable energy resources.
     Objectives
The objective is to calculate the local potential of renewable energy sources in Turkmenistan with ecological, economic and social priorities on their use to address energy, economic, environmental and social issues, and to reduce the anthropogenous load in the climate change for implementing the government programs for sustainable economic development.
Methods I apply the mathematical modeling and economic methods to analyze various aspects of investment activity in regions, define the most efficient systems of renewable energy sources in managing the investment activity at the level of regions, and priorities in ecological business.
Results The article presents technical, economic, energy, and ecological potential of solar energy units and other renewable energy sources in Turkmenistan to solve the green economy-related problems. Based on theoretical studies on the use of solar energy units, it is possible to make project proposals for selling quotas to the Carbon Fund of the World Bank. I developed empirical formulas considering the gross, technical, and ecological potential of solar energy in the regions of Turkmenistan. The formulas may help forecast energy, economic and ecological potential of active solar energy systems, equipment and facilities to make a technological database of the green economy of Turkmenistan.
Conclusions Rational supply of energy resources, increasing the economic efficiency of their ecological use, involving the nonconventional power sources (including renewable ones), and sound energy efficiency policy are extremely important for green economy.
