Importance The cognitive economy becomes particularly urgent to search for new and effective ways to enhance the competitiveness of integrated industrial corporate structures. One of such ways is knowledge management, consisting in the application of specific methods and forms of organization of the process aimed at the creation of new knowledge, its dissemination and implementation of innovative technologies and unique products.
Objectives The paper aims to identify modern methods and forms of organization of knowledge management, used in the domestic integrated industrial corporate structures.
Methods I conducted an empirical study using techniques of scoring and rating assessments, analysis, synthesis, generalization and comparison.
Results I calculated the intensity of selected methods of knowledge management, defined the degree of susceptibility of the surveyed corporations to knowledge management. I describe such forms of knowledge management in the integrated industrial corporate structures as knowledge management division, corporate university, intracorporate research centers of competences, innovation centers, international cooperation, corporate associations (groups), and crowdsourcing.
Conclusions and Relevance Despite the benefits that can be obtained by corporations through the active use of knowledge management technology, a number of negative trends regarding its use is traced in domestic practice. To raise the level of competitiveness of integrated industrial corporate structures, I recommend expanding the range of techniques and forms of knowledge management considering the advantages and disadvantages explained in the article.
