Importance During recent years, the increase in innovation and creation of new hi-tech products provide the economic growth and economic development. Processes of creation, accumulation, distribution, diffusions, and transfer of new knowledge serve as a basis of scientific and technological progress. In general, these processes represent the knowledge generation activity. However, the economic growth rates necessitate on-going assessment of this kind of activity. Despite the existing methods for assessing knowledge generation, there is no consistency in the approaches.
Objectives The objective of the study is to classify the methods for assessing the efficiency of knowledge generation and to develop an integrated approach to knowledge generation at the enterprise.
     Methods
We analyzed academic and methodological approaches to quantitative assessment of knowledge generation processes existing in the Russian scientific literature.
Results We offer an integrated approach enabling to provide a reasonable assessment of knowledge generation effectiveness at the individual enterprise.
Conclusions and Relevance We have considered and structured major approaches to knowledge generation assessment. The article presents a flowchart of the methodology, which combines the areas of calculation of the efficiency of knowledge generation activity. We conclude that it is inadvisable to apply the considered approaches separately, and offer an algorithm of a complex method for knowledge generation assessment at the enterprise.

Keywords: efficiency, knowledge generation, creation, algorithm, new knowledge
