Importance After the WTO accession, Russia assumed a number of obligations covering various spheres. The ability to use financial instruments to support the companies exporting high-technology products turned out to be limited. The available mechanisms of State support require further development and improvement. Raw materials continue dominating in the export pattern, and Russia's share in the world exports of high-tech products is insignificant. The subject of the research is economic relations arising in the process of building a system of State support to innovative companies through the development and implementation of effective financial tools in conditions of entering foreign markets. Objectives The objective of this study is to develop theoretical propositions and practical recommendations for creating effective tools of financial support to innovative exporter companies to provide favorable conditions for selling innovative products in foreign markets. Methods In the study, we used the methods of comparison and analysis of statistical indicators defined at the federal and regional levels. In addition, to assess the importance of State support to exporters of innovative products, we used a prediction technique. Results The study shows the specifics of the State support to export-oriented innovative companies in conditions of Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization. We have described the characteristic features of the export pattern of the Russian Federation and its regions, and assessed the efficiency of support mechanisms implemented by the State. Furthermore, we provide recommendations on improving the system of State support to exporter of high-technology products. Conclusions and Relevance The materials of the research may be useful for experts developing the strategy of State support to exporting companies at various levels, and as part of educational process.
