Importance Given the significant risks in the geopolitical space for modern industrial corporations, there is a need to build an effective strategy of capitalization management that would meet the principles of corporate governance focused on continuous improvement of in-house efficiency, and providing a high level of economic security. The basis of such a strategy is the system of value-based management (VBM), which has become widespread due to transformations in the theory and practice from the principles of enterprise management based on cash flow maximization to the principles of enterprise market value management.
Objectives We have studied the genesis and methodological framework of the value-oriented management approach, highlighted the key factors that have an impact on capitalization, and identified the key elements of the system of company's capitalization management.
Methods Using the methods of complex analysis, historical analysis, comparative evaluation of scientific interpretations of the value management process, we provide the basic provisions of the concept of company's capitalization management.
Results The article presents the main factors contributing to the formation of capitalization of a company, defines the principles and key components of effective management of capitalization.
Conclusions and Relevance We conclude that to increase capitalization, the key management task is to identify and maintain core competencies, which will be sufficient for a company to operate in the market, to build and develop unique competencies that are necessary to take a competitive position inaccessible to others. Effective value management is possible on the basis of building a system of value management, which yields positive results not only for owners, but also maximizes positive feedback to all interested parties or stakeholders.
