One of the main problems of human resource management is the low efficiency in the use of the labor of the personnel of the enterprise. The development and use of labor potential has now become an essential factor in the growth of industrial efficiency, enhance the adaptation of enterprises to a dynamic environment, competitiveness and the production of high quality products. This aspect is particularly important in the information economy, where the results of enterprises' activity are largely dependent on the quality of professional work of employees at all levels of management. The improvement of the industrial enterprises' management primarily involves the use of new approaches, based on the formation and development of a management mechanism, taking into account the condition and prospects of development of the enterprise's human capital. The article reveals the methodological bases of assessment and management procedures improved by increasing the efficiency of its use. The author offers an integrated indicator to assess the use of the labor potential when managing at the industrial enterprise (the index of development of labor potential of the enterprise), makes recommendations on the more effective use of the labor potential of industrial enterprises, and the incentives to improve the quality and productivity of staff.
