The authors suggest a model of the influence of the level of financial support to scientists on the amount of time devoted to research, and impact of scientific work. The authors analyze the possibility of increasing the impact of Russian Science by increasing the level of funding for scientists, as well as the concentration of financial resources allocated to highly productive researchers. The paper pays attention to the factor of continuity of work on scientific problems.
