In the article emissions of polluting substances in atmospheric air in some regions of the Volga federal district are analyzed. As a result of the analysis the conclusion is drawn that regions very strongly differ from one another either by the volume and the emissions structure, or the relative emissions indicators. The assessment technique of ecological damage regional economy by damage population health is offered. Calculation of ecological damage to some regions of the Volga federal district is made.
