In article distinctive features of gas motor fuel (economic are considered and ecological), features of definition of this type of fuel in foreign countries are revealed. The main concepts of development of a gas engine type of fuel and geography of distribution of its consumption taking into account the last achievements in the field of production of slate gas are submitted. Examples of the state support and subsidizing of use of this type of fuel are given.
