The article considers the issues of state regulation of the innovation processes in whole, and the issues of government regulation of innovation in the developed countries and in the Uzbekistan’s economy in particular. The author reveals a sort of interrelation between the public sector’s size and the economic efficiency of innovation and concludes of the necessity to further enhance the innovative processes through public-and-private partnership and implementation of the “triple helix” model for the practical experience of Uzbekistan.
