In the article econometric approach to creation of rating estimates of territories on the example of the Republic of Karelia is presented. Two blocks of indicators for creation of integrated indexes are allocated: quality of the population and social and economic and ecological characteristics. On their basis value of the uniform summary integrated indicator for all territories of the Republic of Karelia is defined. Social and economic recommendations aimed at improvement of a medico-demographic situation and increase of quality of the population at regional level is proposed.
