The problems of the competition implementation are considered as applied to the Russia's rocket and space industry restructuring. The role of the competition for oligopsonic and oligopoly markets is investigated; the importance of the domestic competition is emphasized along with the customer/contractor separation during the space activities' implementation under the actual conditions of economics globalization. The domestic industrial competition is a necessary condition of the real institutional independency of state customers and industrial contractors. For a number of cases the competition may be implemented by mean of the project competition rather than the product competition. It also defines the practicability of the industrial diversification and vertical integration.

Keywords: competition, space-rocket industry, hi-tech complex, competition of projects, competition of products
