Specific features of classical index investing and especially it use of Russian stock market

In the article the methodology of index investment in the stock market is presented. Expanded approach to strategy of the index investment, considering the questions connected with dividend payments, and also structural changes of a market index, allowed formulating definition of classical index investment and allocating a number of peculiar features inherent in it.
