Small and medium-sized enterprises: criteria of differentiation

In the article the existing approaches to definition of small and medium-sized enterprises, comparing the criteria established by the Russian legislator, to experience of foreign countries are analyzed. On statistical data, it is concluded that existence in Russia of high potential for economic growth at the expense of development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The concept of developing small enterprise is epresenterd; the criteria indicating their development are defined.
