On the basis of statistical data on the countries of OECD the comparative analysis of efficiency of public and private investments into the sphere of the higher education is carried out. In the conditions of joining of Russia expected in 2014 to OECD the received conclusions can become a signal to strengthening of a role of private investments in financing of the higher education.
