The retrospective analysis of experience and achievements of the first stage of formation of the Southern Yakut territorial and production complex in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 1975-1985 is carried out. The idea of complex development of productive forces of South Yakutia is on cluster model of the spatial organization of economy of the region.
