The primary task of Russia as host of the Olympics is to ensure the economic security of its preparation.In the article specific character providing economic safety are disclosed, the directions of its improvement are proposed, the use of a set of instruments of operational management in control of the process of the realization of Olympic projects and estimation of the level of their economic safety is in particular presented.
