The analysis of economic development of a regional dairy sub complex is carried out. The assessment of economic indicators of production of milk in the agricultural enterprises of the Volgograd region is given. The need of an intensification of a sub complex for providing a sustainable development of dairy cattle breeding, and also importance of improvement of state support in the conditions of the WTO is emphasized.
