In the article the author's position on problems of research of production potential in separate branches of agrarian sector is presented. The technique of determination of size and efficiency of use of production potential in a grain farm of the Oryol region is presented. The comparative assessment of activity of specific managing subjects is carried out. The tabular form of representation of results of the analysis is offered.
