In the article the theoretical principles of investment analysis, namely a content analysis of his central category - "investments" are revealed. Experience of researches of foreign and domestic scientists is considered, characteristic features and features of each direction are marked out. Also in the article the problem of mixture of concepts of investment and investments rises is presented.
