The article focuses on the exaggerated scale of the shadow economy in Russia.According to Western and local experts, the share of GDP produced in underground economy amounts to 40-50% of the total production of the country's GDP. In a small business there was an extensive network of criminal-oriented business entities, whose activities the line between legitimate business and criminal activities in the economic sphere becomes quite arbitrary and vague.
