The article examines the main indicators of the development of the world's financial centers: indicators of the stock, banking and insurance markets, fund management market, the level of investment activity, etc. The comparative analysis of the dynamics of the oldest and developing centers in relation to the evolution of the global capital markets is presented. International rankings of world financial centers and identified trends in their development are analyzed.
