Article assessment of trends in food and processing industry of the region. A comparative analysis of the dynamics of the production of basic foodstuffs in the Republic of Dagestan and in the Russian Federation identified the main causes of the development of the industry. Proposed directions and mechanisms of stabilization processing industry.
