National competitiveness: once again about the right of the term to existence

In article terminological aspects of concept «national competitiveness» as which the author considers important for use in applied economic researches are considered. Various treatments of the term are compared, the standard approach to term definition is criticized, the inclusion correctness in definition of the term of some criteria is analyzed, comparison with micro-concepts of competitiveness is spent. In the conclusion the author offers own definition of the term.
