Are examined categories «labor resources», «working potential», the procedure of a study of working potential in the region is given, is carried out the analysis of the factors, which influence the formation of the working potential of the Republic of Buryatiya. It is given the comparative characteristic of the state of working potential in the regions of Siberian federal region with the application of methods of multivariate analysis.
