In the article the macroeconomic conditions for a drop in demand and reduction in the efficiency of the production of production are examined, the basic reasons for delay from the world leaders are analyzed, some aspects of foreign and internal policy undergo criticism, proposals about the priority directions of the modernization of food industry are given.
