The situation of last years in countryside continues to remain the sharpest. Optimization of territorial structure on the basis of reorganization (integration) of settlements can become one of exits at this conjuncture. In the present work author's definition is made of concept «reorganization of municipal unions», stages of its life cycle with which account the algorithm of carrying out of reorganization is defined and analyzed are resulted. The conclusion that integration of municipalities is one of the most viable schemes of improvement of a situation on village is drawn.
