In article it is shown, that the most capacious segment of the domestic market of textile production in the market of cotton fabrics. On the basis of official statistics data calculation of a market capacity of cotton fabrics, and also the analysis of its dynamics and structure for 1997-2008 is carried out. The basic tendencies of manufacture, export and import of cotton fabrics are defined.
