A potential can be defined as a hidden opportunity that can become apparent under certain conditions.
     The authors believe that natural resources region development is shaped by a number of indicative factors that require qualitative identification and quantitative evaluation. The objectivity and applied value of such evaluation results are only achievable under such conditions where the significant information data on the state of region’s economy and informal research methods utilization are available. The results of such research are presented in this article.
