The issue of Russia’s innovative development is momentous for our country. The value of the matter in dispute nowadays is very high. This involves both the independence of the state, and the national defense capability, and the human wellbeing. It is a question of Russia’s place in the changing world of today.
     The word “innovation” often pronounced for 15 years has typically become one of the most popular in the political vocabulary. Innovative economic development is made the top priority of the Russian state policy. That is why the thematic scope of the book under review and the issues brought up therein are by all means vital.
