Importance The article reasons of the issues of socio-economic assessment of the effectiveness of the labor-saving directions of intensification of production, taking into account the territorial differences in labor resources. Objectives The article aims to develop a methodological approach to assessing the socio-economic efficiency of the labor-saving direction of intensification of production taking into account the territorial differences in labor resources. Methods For the study, I used the methods of logical and statistical analyses. Conclusions Due to limited resources, the solution to the problem of preemptive allocation of the most effective new equipment depending on the extent of the territorial labor resources is of crucial importance. The development of a system of standard and norm coefficients determining the cost-effectiveness of fixed assets input, that takes into account the level of labor resources in different regions of the country, will contribute to such a technical policy of the industry. This is especially true for the extreme regions of the Far North and the Far East.
